I suppose I expected a bit more from the makers of The Golem when they took on something that is close to their nationality and is not a found footage film. But the film is ultimately quite ordinary, and the golem takes a form that targets family feelings rather than the horror that a horror fan wants above all else. For me, the potential remained rather untapped.
