Untamed Philippines

A nation of more than 100 million people on a collection of over 7,600 islands all set in the warm emerald seas of the Pacific Ocean, the Philippines is a land of sparkling wonder.  With more than 20 active volcanoes, lush forests and miles of coral reefs, the Philippines is a land of contrasts. It has some of the most extraordinary diversity found in any country, the shallow seas are the most bio-diverse anywhere on the planet while many of the islands boast their own distinctly unique species. In this short series, we visit some of the Philippines' most compelling wildlife locations to uncover the wild side of these amazing islands. We'll also examine the relationship between human and animals and reveal how the people of the Philippines are working to preserve their precious wildlife. (National Geographic)
