Londres, 1880. (Condor)

anglais An average atmospheric thriller set in London, where the serial killer Golem is on the rampage. I can usually stomach films like this, the dirty streets of London, hookers, rats and blood create a very dark atmosphere, but here there is hardly any of the above. Bill Nighy is very old and Olivia Cooke is cute. It's a great pity that the film focuses more on the crime line and the theatre scenes, until the interesting twist at the end, which is quite unexpected and surprisingly and nicely brutal. If it weren't for the last 15 minutes I would go even lower with the rating. 55% ()

anglais The British horror film The Limehouse Golem is not one of those films that completely blows you away, but I couldn't help but enjoy this detective excursion into old London. I am simply enchanted by that era and probably everything that takes place in it that is not downright lazy can captivate me. I think The Limehouse Golem deserves at least a slightly better rating than it generally gets. ()
