Day of the Dead : Bloodline

I was expecting it to be much better based on the trailer, but still the film didn't offend me in one viewing. The make-up effects are good and the gore is delectable, everything else is not worth mentioning. Mediocre acting performances, an ordinary cliched story and the pace slows down considerably in the middle. I haven't seen any zombie movies in a long time though, so I'll be more generous with this one. 60% (05/01/2018)

There is a certain continuity with Day of the Dead in the horror film Day of the Dead: Bloodline, but it's not something for fans to cheer about. There is a certain idea here, but in the end it gets bogged down in pretty standard zombie fare, which slowly stops working. The medical idea is there, the characters behave interestingly, and the masks are not bad, but somehow it all fades out into nothing. (17/09/2018)
