A family prepares to celebrate New Year's Eve in an isolated house in the middle of the woods, when a mysterious homeless man barges in; he's a dwarf, claims to be God and threatens to exterminate the human race at dawn. Only two people will be saved, and the family has been chosen to pick these two survivors. The destiny of humanity rests with four numbskulls that, obviously, are going to want to be saved. anglais A black comedy from Spain with a horror atmosphere. During the holidays, a mysterious dwarf visits a family of four, claiming to be God, and informs them that tomorrow morning the entire human race will die, except for two survivors chosen by the family themselves. The film primarily benefits from its original idea and the decent dialogues filled with black humor, they can be quite amusing at times. The mysterious atmosphere also works, as you ponder along with the main characters whether God is really who he claims to be, and the ending pleasantly surprises with a bit of brutality. It could have been more brutal and intense, but it's definitely an interesting, unconventional, and original piece that deserves attention.
