Writer Jiří Stránský wrote the chilling story of Emil Malík, a fighter plane pilot of the famous Royal Air Force, based on his actual father-in-law. Emil (David Švehlík) survived the war horrors and returns home to his family in 1945, hoping for a peaceful and happy life. But he soon realizes that the war isn't over yet.
