anglais What kind of movie is this anyway? A horror movie with a mysterious room whose closed door is definitely hiding something unpleasant, or a psychological drama with a strangely behaving brother? Or something else? The denouement that occurred here was completely shocking and unexpected. And I'm sure I won't be the only one surprised. I do have some minor gripes about the ending, and I didn't enjoy the beginning of the film, but on the whole it's a good film with a sharp plot. 3.5 stars. ()

anglais All things considered, a crazy stylized film that nicely mixes seemingly contradictory genres with South Korean flair, manages to shock you pretty decently at times, and actually has the upper hand on the viewer throughout. It's probably mostly a thriller, but definitely not a conventional one. It does occasionally collide a bit with its own formal limits, but I was still very satisfied. Plus it has an absolutely sumptuous sound mix. [75%] ()

anglais An excellent mystery psycho thriller that I almost missed, so thank you LangiJ for the lure. At first the film seems like a mundane drama where a family moves into a new house with a room that can't be opened and strange noises coming from it. Soon one of the two brothers is violently attacked and kidnapped, and returns 19 days later with no memory of anything, and his behaviour has changed dramatically. This is more or less just a sketch for the first half, then the film brutally flips on its head, throwing one shocking twist after another, culminating in the brutal murder of the family in the house, for which the film takes full marks from me. It's perfectly thought out, original, suspenseful and unusual. Some may complain that it's too overwrought and not everything would make sense in reality, but I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller and those details don't distract me. I recommend it. Is it me, or is Netflix buying Korea already?? 85%. ()

anglais This was pretty sneaky of the South Korean comrades. I was expecting a predictable plot and traditional Korean overacting and grimaces. Instead, I got a perfect thriller, which made me wonder if I am really myself, or if I’m not somebody else’s (or my own) dream. I'm still not sure even now, and I have yet to interrogate my friends and relatives. ()

anglais A good mystery film, which once again shows that Koreans can definitely do darker genres. In this film, they play well with atmosphere and present a story that is mysterious enough to keep you on your toes from the start. Moreover, the film remains quite intimate, which only adds to the impression it makes on the viewer. And that impression is good. ()
