anglais Guillaume Canet made a rather wacky comedy about a mid-life crisis, in which he also starred. Some passages are great, others are horrible. I was happy to watch it, also because of the fine music, but I don't need to see it again. (55%) ()

anglais When France's most admired star couple, that every tabloid is focused on, decides to play themselves, involve their child, family, friends and the theme of the middle age crisis, the potential for self-absorption is immeasurable. Especially when Canet even filmed it himself, he wrote the script, he plays the main role. It is about middle age crisis. He is sad about his fuddy-duddy and settled life in the shadow of an even more famous and more successful star than he is or showing that he is horrified about the fact that his colleagues actors of his generation are seen as sex symbols whilst he is the exact opposite ... But Canet knows all this, and his response is a middle finger. He makes fun of everything; including himself (stylized into an exceptional idiot typical of French crazy comedies), film backstage, colleagues in front of and behind the camera (including its real producers), clichés of art "Poor me, I am famous and very successful" movies, fads of celebrities and (mainly and above all ) makes fun of the viewer, because no matter how normally it starts, the more advanced the footage is, the crazier anarchy is, that conflicts with everything you would expect will come out of it. It is even so peculiar that it is easy to love sincerely or to hate from the bottom of your hear but nothing in between. This is how cult movies are born. PS: It's a pity he did not make his ex or “almost the father of his second child", both Diane and Brad appear in the movie, they, being great at drama and comedy, would be a perfect fit for the movie.
