Eve et Walter partent sur les routes de Californie en espérant redorer leur couple au bord de l’effondrement. Après avoir passé une nuit dans un camp de hippies, ils prennent Adam, un autostoppeur. Ce dernier les retient vite en otage et une relation tendue s’engage entre eux. Usant de sa force et de sa cruauté, il va s’amuser avec eux jusqu’à la limite du sadisme. Sans compter que ses deux complices sont sur le point de les rejoindre. (Artus Films)

Great film, thanks Flipnic for the recommendation! Up until now I thought The Hitcher was the best hitch-hiking film, but now I stand corrected. Hitch-Hike is a brilliant and brisk thriller with superb performances and character development, as well as a surprising plot. The high rating by only a handful of users may give the impression that this is an obscure film not suitable for the average audience, but the opposite is true. It’s not pure exploitation trying to portray the worst type of perversion, nor is it very psychically demanding terror, it’s “just” a very well made and executed thriller with excellent music, too. Highly recommended. 9/10
