(Condor)

anglais A solid action B-movie. The most interesting idea is definitely the one where a group of random people sign up for a trial of a new video game where the winner can get $100,000, but everything changes when the game involves the lives of the participants. A great looking virtual world that is very close to a computer game, players are tasked with going through 26 levels killing terrorists (they have vests and medkits and the best score per level counts). Luckily it's also R-rated and there are plenty of shootouts and as we already know there has to be an asshole in every team. The final twist was also a surprise, the downside is the behaviour of the characters, which started to get on my nerves after a while. A strong three stars and a recommendation. 69%. ()

anglais Another film that doesn’t boast a miraculous budget, but I had a royal good time watching it. In the first few minutes, not much happens, and I found myself listing reasons why I chose this film. But then it took off. An important factor that worked well was the film's perfect idea. The directors managed to execute it reasonably well for the film's standards. Anyone who enjoys action scenes will find plenty to appreciate here. However, I liked the scenes when the general showed up and always dropped some wisdom even more than the shootouts. Those scenes were priceless. I think the actors performed quite well. And the ending? That was unexpected and great. Not all Hollywood films can say that. I give it 80%. ()

anglais A fairly inventive sci-fi film, which managed to present its premise quite well despite not having a very strong story. The "game" that is being played here is captured perfectly, without using any elaborate special effects. In this respect, I must definitely praise the film, because it succeeded. ()
