Miklós makes a new attempt, but is met with a smack again. Soon, however, they make peace, and even fall in love. Baracskay Ádám refuses the idea of his brother marrying a shop-assistant. The fact that Ádám plans to hire a new housekeeper for the manor-house comes in handy. Miklós arranges for Éva to enter the position. Éva works hard and well, and even Ádám's interest is aroused in her. The two brothers start competing for her love. In the end, Ádám renounces his claim upon her, and asks for her hand in marriage on his brother's behalf. (texte officiel du distributeur)
