At the office Mr. Kovács pretends to be the father of many children and on the pretext of illness or childbirth he squeezes special aids, family allowances and advance out of his boss to cover for his partying. The helpful and sympathetic director visits the struggling family man. At the last moment the phoney family man manages to borrow a wife and children and to transform his elegantly furnished bachelor's apartment into a slum hole. The actress, who plays the wife, after having enchanted the director and thus established her "husband's" carrier, becomes a real wife and turns the partying playboy into a good, decent, home-abiding husband.
