It is not a completely perfect film, but it is clear that Jackie Earle Haley will not be such a bad director and he manages to keep the plot together, build it up, and ultimately reveal the cards quite effectively. It is not perfect, definitely not, but the actors are quite acceptable and they are good in the roles expected of them.
