Jonas Mekas - José Luis Guerin: Carta 6. A Letter to José Luis #3

Jonas Mekas leaves Brooklyn and takes us to places that symbolize suffering to him. With his daughter Oona, Benn Northover and Sebastian, he travels through Poland (Krakow) and Slovakia (Bánská Štiavnica). In contrast to the talkativeness of his earlier letters, he now turns inward and in his closing monologue says: "I'm surrounded by friends, this is my life, details that I need to capture. I don't know where it's taking me, but I have to do it, it's my responsibility..." (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
