The American horror film Consumption tries to scare you, despite the fact that it doesn’t have the resources to do so. And it uses some pretty good tools for this - the sound, especially the cacophony, the darkness of the environment - but in neither case is it done in a way that really takes the film anywhere higher. The plot is ultimately a strange mystery that has a weak explanation at the end.
