Résumés(1)

John Krasinski's big-hearted family comedy takes a touching look at the ties that bind. Krasinski plays John Hollar, a frustrated graphic novelist anxiously awaiting the birth of his baby with girlfriend, Rebecca (Anna Kendrick). When his mother, Sally (Margo Martindale), is diagnosed with a brain tumor, John flies back home, where denial runs deep in the family tree. While his loving but fractured family pulls together to prepare Sally for surgery, John takes a second look at the life he left behind. (Sundance Film Festival)

anglais After watching this movie, I felt I had to kiss all my loved ones and thank them for being here with me. On top of that, this movie involves a large number of very pleasant actors. The Hollars simply made a good impression on me. ()

anglais With such an ensemble of actors, the filmmakers could have shown us a little more than they did. Krasinski isn't a bad actor, but as a director he has taken a substance that at first glance seems like a sure thing to be lightened up, but in the end, it's actually not a sure thing, it's not a good comedy, and it's more akin to a waste of time.
