Incorruptible

A disease in many countries: ex-dissidents and democrats become power hungry and turn into corrupt autocrats. Senegal is no exception. President Abdoulaye Wade amends the constitution so he can run for a third term. This country, which boasts that it resolves disputes amicably, finds itself in turmoil. Wade does everything he can to remain in power. This time, however, he faces not only political opponents but also the Y'en a Marre (Fed Up) movement founded by rappers and activists truly interested in upholding democratic principles. The documentary traces the controversial elections of 2012, the key players and the suspenseful events that will either throw Senegal into violence or confirm the strength of democracy. (One World)
