Four siblings are united after the sudden passing of their estranged father. Gathered together at the large rundown country estate he bought after an invention of his went gangbusters they commence to piece together the last seven years before his death in which he attempted to create something of equivalent value but failed, with each subsequent and idiosyncratic invention weirder than the previous. As they try to reclaim the past and connect the various collectables that comprise the sum existence of this mystery man pressure mounts for the house to be sold and each of remaining members of the family must learn to let go.
