The actors try to hold the bad script together, but they can't. They don't stand a chance. Half of the scenes here are for effect, but the necessary effect never materializes. The Darkness isn't scary, nor is it even suspenseful, although you'll find scenes intended to be scary or something like that. The story's potential and the cast's talent go unused, and some scenes may even bother you in terms of acting, which is a great shame. Simply a misstep.
