Scientific knowledge has revealed the origin of the universe, yet the answer to the question about the origin of life itself remains unknown. Professor Lee Cronin is trying to prove that it is possible for life to have originated through an entirely inorganic process. According to Cronin, life came into existence from stone and metal millions of years ago. In his laboratory he uses an experiment called Inorganica, which simulates the atmosphere on Earth at a time when there was no life. It combines various gases and sparks, and produces molecules that could be important for the origins of life. (Academia Film Olomouc)
