A beautiful documentary filmed in the autumn of 1942 and produced by Finlandia-Kuva, depicting everyday life in the Aunus district of Karelia during the second year of the Continuation War. According to the documentary there was a school in every village. Producer Veikko Itkonen (1919-1990) worked as a radio commentator at YLE, the Finnnish Broadcasting Company, from 1937. During the Continuation War he served in the information troops with a typewriter and a microphone as his weapons. (Tampere Film Festival)
