anglais As a pseudo-documentary about a landscape scarred by an unimaginable natural disaster, the film gets 2 stars from me. In all other aspects, Kiarostami fails in my eyes. His film lacks a lot of what makes a film a film, including the most basic elements like a script. The dialogues are unpleasantly banal, especially considering the situation of the local people and the tragedy they face. The communication between the boy and the woman who lost her daughter about God is just a small spark that didn't ignite anything. The work of director Kiarostami is intended for a very specific type of festival audience, which I do not belong to. It's a warning for me to avoid his films completely. Overall impression: 35%. ()
