Reaper is primarily an action drama, perhaps even a thriller, but it lacks the necessary atmosphere, and at times, it's too evident that it's low-budget and there just wasn't more money for it. This ultimately leads to the impression that it's dull and that neither the gangster aspect nor the action works well in this regard, and as a horror, it's really not that good. In the end, it's just a classic below-average B-movie without any significant contribution.
