Four men ascend the Mont Ventoux on their racing bicycles: journalist Bart, drugs criminal André, string theoretician Joost and travel agency manager David. Thirty years ago, they did it too, as highschool friends, but back then there were five of them. And gorgeous Laura. Ghosts from the past return when the four friends of yesteryear again venture the exhausting climb to the top of the mountain, which three decades ago abruptly ended their carefree lives. Author Bert Wagendorp rewrote the screenplay for this drama and published a novel. (Nederlands Film Festival)
