anglais I didn't expect for this film to be incredibly boring. It tried to depict events that are quite emotional, events that should evoke some feelings in the viewer, but in the end, it was a relatively short film that stretched into an unbelievable time horizon from a relative perspective. Northern Ireland is a place where there were conflicts and bloodshed. And it wasn't that long ago. Belfast was a dangerous city where both the terrorist organization IRA and the secret service MI5 operated. MI5 tried to suppress the influence of rebels and destroy individual cells, while the IRA has always desired independence. "Shadow Dancer" should then be a dramatic story about an IRA member becoming an informant for MI5 in order to protect her son. The problem is that the story is not as dramatic or emotional as one would expect. The actors play their roles, but everyone seems the same, there is a blanket of depression over everything, which maintains the atmosphere but doesn't really contribute to the overall tone of the film, which is, well, let's say debatable. There may be those who will enjoy this piece and consider it a unique thriller, but I still believe that similar films should have tension. "Shadow Dancer" is not suspenseful.
