Revenant d'un mariage au Canada, 5 amis rentrent en voiture aux États-Unis lorsqu'ils se font arrêter en pleine forêt par deux membres de la Police des Frontières. Alors qu'ils n'ont rien à se reprocher, les policiers les accusent de terrorisme et leur font subir des interrogatoires brutaux. Devant le silence de leurs prisonniers, ils décident de les enfermer dans des cages cachées au cœur de la forêt et de continuer leurs investigations à l'abri des regards. (SND)

Very good. Beautifully shot, fairly slow and top of the range performances. Someone had a vision here, wanted to say something (though nothing revolutionary) and went for it. Territories is not the most gratifying kind of film, in the last half hour it makes a turn into something that you wouldn’t expect from your typical exploitation flick. There’s no naturalistic violence, nor is there a brutal climax, just a sad and uncertain point behind the fate of five likeable people. I liked the ending very much, it was the decisive factor for the four stars. I probably won’t remember it after a couple of months, but it resonated with me a while after the screening. Thumbs certainly up.
