anglais Bad, very bad editing. In action movies, more attention should be paid to this because it can completely ruin the impression of the whole action. Shooting a body, where in the next shot only a clean shirt appears, this seems to me like a really bad example of filmmaking. It's as if they didn't bother reshooting a relatively simple, static scene that should have had its own strong impact. It's just sloppy. They play for the effect, the kicking sends them flying through the air and the image slows down nicely, when it comes to sex, it is also tender, a contrast to the action, but at the same time surprisingly intimate. Good, but I expected something more passionate. Moreover, I'm surprised that not a single woman appeared topless here. It's as if the creators of action movies decided that this would be a bit too much. I don't know, on the other hand, I think it would have pleasantly livened up the film, because otherwise there isn't much going on here. Scott Adkins obviously won't be my favorite action hero, he still seems quite dull to me. Like a better bouncer from a nightclub who occasionally gets his mouth broken so he doesn't look like Superman. The film is somewhat conceived as a modern western, where punches and bullets are believed in, at the center is a brave hero who is not a complete jerk but has some past, and there are also a lot of Mexicans around who are obviously the bad guys. Not the ordinary people, but the leaders. We can also find six-shooters here, since we are at it. Blood splatters in all directions, but it all lacks soul somehow. It's like "Desperado" without the humor and good lines, "Desperado" without a memorable titular hero. But as in a proper western, at the end the whole town joins forces with that wretched Gringo to show that he won't let those Mexican scumbags dictate to him anymore.
