(Warner Bros. FR)

anglais I didn’t want to believe the ratings here, so I invested two hours of my time in a completely useless film that has everything a good film should have – music by Hans Zimmer and cast such as Farrell, Crowe or Connelly. The result, however, is unfortunately insipid and I think that the actors themselves must be ashamed of it. The classification of this as a fantasy romance is apt. It’s something like Titanic without the ship but with fantasy elements and a load of bullcrap. Simply horrible. ()

anglais The trailer is worth five stars and I could maybe play it over and over again. Mainly because it's actually a cut of the best scenes from the whole movie. The movie itself is a little worse. The first part was amazing, plus tons of romance. The second part was a disappointment, or at least it didn't fulfill me as much as I would have liked. The problem is mostly that the two parts don't make sense together somehow. But the gorgeous music, Colin Farrell, and the divine Russell Crowe as the "superhuman" still made it one of the better movies. Though the most charming was still Jessica Brown Findlay and her fantastically natural style. 3.5 stars. ()

anglais This concept itself is not bad. It is interesting to combine romance with fantastic, in this case basically fairytale, elements, on the other hand, it's nothing new either. Unfortunately, the film - quite rightly - appears to be unfinished, dysfunctional, and inconsistent. It somehow doesn't hold together, which is its biggest problem. However, there was a good start to something beautiful here. ()
