anglais I got used to the fact that the sequels to successful films usually follow the same pattern, with a steady decline in quality, but the second Outrage wasn’t worse than the first one at all (some of the moments were even better). I had a good time again, and I didn't mind at all that Takeshi Kitano’s facial expression abilities were about as good as mine. ()

anglais A solid sequel. Clan politics involving questionable pride, the intrigues of one crafty cop and brutalities of an old yakuza. You won’t find anything more here. I’m missing the overlap that I sort of got used to in Kitano movies, yet a return to the known waters of the Japanese mafia is pleasant. Acting performances are superb, the direction sharp, just the story is a little thin and powerful moments are scarce. I’m hoping that this year’s finale will put everything into the right context.
