Bagdad, 1987. Oudaï Hussein, fils ainé de Saddam, règne en maître dans un Irak corrompu en proie à la trahison et à la corruption. Personnage sans foi ni loi, il utilise sa toute-puissance pour servir son plaisir. Il convoque le lieutenant Latif Yahia qui lui ressemble fortement et le contraint à devenir son double, sous peine de voir sa famille exécutée.
