anglais Documentaries should be about interesting things and full of surprises. Life writes the script, reality takes care of the directing, and the actors are swapped with people who have something to say or show. That's why I don't rate the cinematography or music here. Crossing Africa in a trabant seems like a good idea to me. The group of daredevils is likable, easy-going, and not lacking in determination to fulfill their mission. The film reeks of adventure and it is clear that these travelers were not afraid to explore. My 5 stars are for the courage, the patience, the steady nerves (!!!), and the perfect travelogue. Thank you! ()

anglais As far as the documentary value is concerned, the most important message of the film is that I wouldn't travel in a Trabant even to the annual Helena Růžičková slap fest in Hoštice, that's how rickety the machines looked to me. The concept is very telegraphic and unfinished at times, but let’s be honest, it's great to watch; the enthusiasm of everyone involved is infectious, their frank and ironic comments on African culture and mood completely coincide with my views, and everything is topped off by Jason, a former student in the Czech Republic, who sincerely misses the beautiful Czech girls in the company of those ugly gorillas. I would do something like this myself, but only with a car that can withstand at least two turns without breaking down, and with a route far away from Arab countries where you can't drink alcohol.... 80% ()

anglais From a documentary point of view, it definitely isn't there yet and it's still important to know that the main goal was for the adventurers to complete the whole journey. In the next episode, "Trabant to the end of the world," it has already been shown that there are also documentary tendencies. Nevertheless, it's beautifully evident that this is an incredible attempt at traveling, which is definitely worth attention. Dan Přibáň is a great guy, and his crew is amazing. ()
