Bloody Monday

I wasn't impressed with the first episode at all. I don't know why, I just thought after watching it: "Oh, my God, this is going to be agony, how am I going to finish this? Another series I’m just going to click through?" And I put off watching any more episodes indefinitely. After a few weeks, I went back to it – and surprisingly, I liked it. More and more. I was a bit annoyed by the exaggerated goodness of the main character, his sister, and I absolutely hated his nosy friend Aoi (I dislike the actress). Fortunately, Haruma was backed up by a proficient cast – starting with Hiroki and Takeru, continuing with Katase Nana, all the way through Matsushige Yutaka. I just loved the whole ensemble with only a few exceptions. Plus, it was suspenseful, entertaining, and you even got past Takagi's emotional outbursts. If you're sick of all the romance and want a slightly different story, this might be what you're looking for. Don't go into this with too high expectations and you hopefully won't be disappointed.
