L'ouvre majeure du trio Zoltan, Alexandre et Vincent Korda reprend vit. A la fin XIXe siècle, l'empire Britannique hégémonique, se bat pour conserver ses colonies Africaines à l'interieur de son Common Wealth. Le Soudan particulièrement agité concentre alors toutes les attentions militaires de l'Empire qui ne compte pas céder. Dans cette guerre, quatre jeunes officiers, sont affectés à Karthoum. L'un d'eux, Harry déserte par amour. Avant de partir dans l'enfer Soudanais, ses 3 camarades et une amie lui remettent chacun une plume blanche, signe de lacheté et couardise. Face à son destin, et au courage de ses frères d'arme, Harry décide de prouver que sa bravour est intacte en partant pour Karthoum. (Elysée Film)
