The Devil's Cabaret is a nice little playful film. It doesn't work particularly well as a musical; there's no memorable melody, but it works thanks to its set design and the humor added to the film. There are some fun ideas here, and you can see how it's all nicely lightened up. Plus, it's nice and short.
