Film, qui a une signification politique indéniable. Mais ce n'est pas un film que je rechercherais en tant que spectateur de cinéma. Pour cela, il ne devrait pas être si fade dans l'écriture et la réalisation. Même dans un drame triste, on peut insuffler des idées et de l'originalité. Quand on le veut. (11/10/2009)

I call this category of films illustrative. Director Riahi tried to comprehensively map the issue of political emigration, which he knows from his own experience, i.e., a risky escape from one's homeland, loss of stability, severing of family ties, stress from living in an unfamiliar environment, the risk of secret service attacks, or racist confrontations. Material sacrifice and eternal fear of the future. Through a variety of characters, he illustrates all the possible circumstances that an emigrant may encounter on their journey to happiness. However, the problem lies in the fact that I do not perceive any added artistic value therein. User ratings simply reflect their relationship to the problem itself rather than the quality of the film and the impressive use of cinematic techniques. Riahi lacks both experience and significant talent to make a truly great film, so it all resembles a popular genre of docudramas that resist strong artistic expression and simply try to capture a certain problem. Otherwise, the film exudes enthusiasm from those involved and their personal experience with emigration, so it comes across as quite authentic, but I won't give it more than 3 stars. Overall impression: 60%. If Riahi had made a traditional documentary, I might not hesitate to give it 5 stars. By the way, in my opinion, this lack of artistic quality in otherwise thematically strong films concerning the Middle East is typical. (29/04/2012)
