Multi-award-winning Divorce Iranian Style takes place during a few weeks in an Iranian divorce court. Keeping at arms length, it provides a unique perspective to the lives of Iranian women trying to break free from their harmful marriages. Outspoken and unyielding, they put up a fight against conservative legislation and beliefs, challenging western stereotypes of Muslim women as passive victims.
