anglais Gene Hackman as a cold-blooded president, Ed Harris as a charismatic detective, Clint Eastwood as an elusive professional thief, and Scott Glenn and Dennis Haysbert as elite secret service agents, brilliant casting, no doubt about it. The plot is alright, if we overlook certain simplifications of some facts and focus only on those names, because Eastwood as a director didn't take into account practically any supporting characters, and when he did, it didn't turn out well at all (the hired sniper). The action is minimal, however, Clint knows how to shoot suspenseful scenes – though there aren’t many – and the whole thing is carried out in a slightly unremarkable and almost TV-like style, the acting ensemble is so good that you won’t be constantly looking at your watch.
