This is quite an enjoyable old world story about a misunderstanding in a marriage between a circus girl and a priest. It's not quite as bombastic as The Garden of Allah, which does flirt with sacrificing love for faith, but Polly of the Circus is still a good spectacle. This is the first film with Marion and Clark Gable, who soon got a very good contract thanks to her and his bright career was confirmed. ()
