I never learn. Well, you know what they say about old dogs... Despite all the experience I've gathered with the series, I stupidly allowed myself to hope that the finale could be good. It couldn't. The creators didn't resist the temptation once again, turning the ending into a compilation of clichés, melodrama, and play on emotions, which would make me melt like a chocolate bar on a hot day if I weren't a cynical person (which I am). / Lesson learned: Don't judge the medal by its weight.
