The Big Bang Theory held a special place among my favorite TV shows for a while, even if it didn't quite make it into my Top Ten. However, that was based on only having watched the first six seasons. Now, as I'm diving into the seventh season, I find myself feeling like a little boy whose prized toy got snatched at the playground. The twelfth episode was really poor, except for Bernadette's fake laughter and Sheldon's research. / Lesson learned: Hope dies last, but it's a very painful death. 2*-
