Prise en photo à son insu au moment où elle raccrochait ses bas, une jeune vendeuse se retrouve à la première page d'un magazine. Ayant toujours rêvé de devenir mannequin ou vedette de cinéma, Antonietta exige du photographe Corrado Betti qu'il l'aide à lancer sa carrière. Il la présente donc au comte Sennetti, très introduit dans le milieu du cinéma. Mais si Antonietta prend son idylle avec Corrado très au sérieux, pour ce dernier, il ne s'agit que d'une conquête de plus. Orgueilleuse, Antonietta se venge en l'ignorant lorsque Sennetti la transforme en vedette. Corrado prend alors conscience de ses sentiments pour elle. Antonietta laissera ses rêves pour l'amour de son beau photographe. (texte officiel du distributeur)

I'm willing to give it bit of a better review for Charles Boyer. :) He was everywhere and with every woman... His journey through the 1930s and 1940s was crowned by Harvey, Baarová, Dietrich, Garbo, Lamarr... he had too much to worry about and so it was no wonder that he then took Bergman, Andress, and Loren in this film. Otherwise, it is a classically overwrought idyll on the theme of Sophia and Marcello, which is almost impossible to endure. Because first come Sophie's breasts, then her ass, then her blonde tint, then the rest, and then Marcello takes a picture. The end.
