Nothing very unusual has happened to Michal. He finds himself in the middle of a situation he is partly responsible for and partly not, but it’s up to him to solve it. Everyone expects it of him and he himself would like to arrange things honorably and peacefully for everyone involved. But it isn’t possible. There seem to be plenty of alternatives. And because this is a film, Michal can try all of them. We have all found ourselves in pretty much the same situation, even if it wasn’t quite as critical, and how we desperately searched for any kind of at least somewhat honorable way out... Was there any? In contrast to a purely linear, horizontal approach, the resulting composition will employ montage cutting across the timeline of the plot, similar to the way memory works. Michal Malátný comme chanteur et frontman du groupe Chinaski ? Oui, avec plaisir ! Michal Malátný comme acteur dans le rôle principal d’un long métrage ? Ça non, par pitié ! Ce film est une catastrophe de plus parmi les comédies tchèques et je n'ai ri qu'une seule fois en la regardant : quand l’actrice tchèque éminente Iva Janžurová s’est écrié « putain ! ». À part ça, c’est complètement pitoyable et je donnerais la mention « Boo! » si ce n’était pour la musique, Tatiana Vilhelmová dans le rôle de la maîtresse brune Klára et le sympathique Kryštof Hádek. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi des acteurs comme Janžurová, Javorský, Hubinská et Stivínová ont besoin de jouer dans un pareil nanar. Par contre, le fait qu’on y voit le lèche-bottes du président Luděk Sobota et, encore plus embarrassant, l’acteur Pavel Landovský, ça je comprends très bien !

Michal Malátný can play the guitar, but he can't act. But it certainly can't be said that he alone is to blame for the total failure of Catch the Doctor! It's more or less everybody's fault. And there wasn't enough of Luděk Sobota or Iva Janžurová in the film for me to give them at least one star.__P.S. Marek Vašut appears in another of the many useless and stupid mini-roles for which he is famous, but this time, unfortunately, he does not die. That’s too bad.
