La vie de James Gregory, un Sud-Africain blanc, gardien de prison en charge de Nelson Mandela, de l'incarcération de ce dernier dans les années 60 à sa libération en 1990. Pendant 25 ans, Gregory s'est occupé de Mandela jour après jour. Il a été son géôlier, son censeur mais aussi son confident, de Robben Island à Pollsmoor, et enfin jusqu'à Victor Verster d'où il fut libéré en 1990. (texte officiel du distributeur)

The first half of the film is downright boring; after that it kind of starts to pick up, but you might miss it since you might still be bored by the first half. It's definitely a strong story, but it is exceedingly drawn out. I'd rather recommend, if I may, watching his entry into prison, then clicking through to the other years. From that half on, it's watchable without "skipping".
