anglais A Czech animated puppet film based on the short story of the same name by Jack London. Two exhausted gold prospectors find a cabin in the middle of winter in the inhospitable landscape, inside of which is a Native American girl. Next to the cabin is a mining shaft with a dwindling gold vein. The men put all their strength into extracting the golden treasure and do not notice that they have something far more valuable within reach. A beautiful, devoted, and lovestruck woman. The gold soon slips through their fingers and the awareness of an unused opportunity remains. Traditionally honest Czech classic animation and artistic puppet design that corresponds to the ideas of the gold prospectors and inhabitants of the far north. Overall impression: 60%. ()
