So I'm wondering, given the addendum, why doesn't he just release it in Europe if they won't release it in the US? ;-) But whatever.... It was a cool movie, I was doing my history homework while watching it and managed both with ease, so I can't say if it's boring, as I wasn't bored for a moment /viz. D. XoD/. But I quite enjoyed the ending, when there was no homework left, and I liked how Irving so empathized with Hughes. It was really good, at least I don't have to complain about the "realistically conceived fall into the pool" as I had planned before it was explained to me... :-) Anyway, I'm sure you won't regret watching the film. Maybe you'll learn to make up bulletproof stories.
