A New Song

Serfs dressed in rags labor to pull a boat along a river bank as they sing Song of the Volga Boatmen. When they pass behind a billboard for Bata shoes, they begin dancing and easily pull the boat because they're wearing new boots. This commercial for Bata work shoes shows other professions as well. Each is able to do their work more easily with good shoes: fishermen, postmen, railway workers, and factory workers... (Zlín Film Festival)
