Or: When a woefully unfunny, second-rate animated movie abducts the story of Rashomon and after a series of unlikely coincidences it manages to tell two good jokes. The animation is puke-worthy. I know that, compared to CGI movies, the Hoodwinked! budget was four-times smaller, but it looks a thousand times worse than your average direct-to-video animated movies. It’s not absolutely lame, just indescribably b-o-r-i-n-g. ()
That goat is good, we all laughed out loud, so to speak. Maybe if I hadn't watched it with a bunch of teenage adolescents (read: classmates), I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much and my rating would have been lower. It's just that the atmosphere while watching it does a lot too, and I certainly can't say it was a wasted time. I had fun, you will too if you have friends next to you to watch half of it with. ()
