Rampo Stories: Deformity

In this tale of madness, young medical student Hirosuke assumes the identity of a dead man in order to solve the mystery of a weird doppleganger whose obituary he spies in a newspaper. Traveling from circus sideshows to a cursed and isolated island, he discovers a web-fingered madman who surgically remakes normal human beings into misshapen monsters.
