Molnár Lajos, clerk of the Travel Agency "Tura", is in love with Varga Marika, who reciprocates his love. Their relationship is not looked favourably upon by Marika's thrifty sister, who directs events skilfully to get Marika engaged to the director of Tura, Mr. Horváth. The friends of Lajos, Tóbiás and Dezső, in order to help their desperate friend, spread the rumour that Lajos's rich uncle in South America died and left the young man with a legacy of a few millions in wealth. Although in the end the truth is revealed, and Lajos is found to have no legacy at all, things take a favourable turn as the owners of "Tura" assign Lajos to be the managing director of the agency. Marika's sister consents to the marriage of the lovers. (texte officiel du distributeur)
