Bodnár is a lawyer, Kádár is a doctor. They are both young professionals just beginning their career. They rent an apartment together and are going to see their clients or patients there in turn. But they have none of them. One day the young doctor is called for, to see the daughter of Kenessey, a rich factory-owner living round the corner. Kádár is not in, so his job is done by Piri, his fiancée, and Bodnár. Even the father, a hypochondriac, uses the mock-doctor's services. Roles thus changed remain changed even when Bodnár falls in love with Irma, the daughter of his "patient". Kádár wins a lawsuit for the factory-owner. In the dénouement, misunderstandings are sorted out and the couples get married. (texte officiel du distributeur)
